Custom Shops?

hello all.

i was wondering if you guys could help me find some custom car shops.  i just finished my first year steel fab at bcit no i gotta go look for a job.

I would love to work on vw. but i realy just want to get my foot in the door.  anyway im looking for places around hte lowermainland. the closer to burnaby the beter.

anyway any help would be great. and if this is just a stupid request then feel free to shun me!

well I just took the steel fab ELTT   so from here I guess I can go into anything.  I am basically looking for like a shop helper kind of job that will become an apprenticeship. i just need to get my foot in the door. I am eager to learn.

I took An ELTT course at BCIT a few years ago. Excellent training which should put you in demand in your field.

You would be best to find work in the sheet metal or fabricating trades. Go for the big money where you can find it and save the custom stuff/ VW's for your spare time. I'm not trying to sound pesimistic its just that experience tells me this is your best bet.

Check out Tin Man in Langley. They have changed ownership in the last year and appear to be expanding rapidly. They are very busy by the looks of things.
