Cruising The Dub July 3rd
« on: June 14, 2005, 12:06:12 AM »
Hey guys,
Just been receiving various reminders from the A&W show. Just off of 72nd and King George. All those that participated last year probably have received the registration package. I have and I'm even in Switzerland.
I think off hand you need to arrive around 9:00 to register?(I'll check tonight and confirm). Mostly domestic but were all car guys right? I'll maybe show won't be in my infamous 'bert though but rather in my Renwagen or the best that Munich has to offer(Mid '70)s. I will put it up on the events tommorow if James doesn't beat me to it... Just a reminder.

Dear Silas,
Alas you have to take what I say with a grain of salt. You see if I really thought that of Vancouver why would I return and go to school there? I'm just expressing my dismay at the lack of a RAV line being put through the Arbutus corridor(Light rail line already in place... hmm maybe its not me with the silver spoon in my ass!) And the lack of late hours or public transportation that would allow me to go out party till 4-5:00AM and bus home...
I'm stuck with a expensive cab bill...

And James I hope you have your car together by the time I get back.. I want a ride!

I guess I can't wait to move back to the S.D.

dear kirin,

these are troublesome times indeed, my friend.

the youth of today have it so hard. sure paying $7+ cover charge and $5+ on a pint of beer is no problem, but to buck up the extra 4 or so dollars to share a cab home with 2 friends is just way too much to ask. how are we supposed to keep up with all the simple costs of living a decent lifestyle? my cellphone bill is through the roof and if my internet connection gets cut off, how will i visit all my favourite chatrooms? and the gas prices are ridiculous. how am i going to drive that sweet bmw my parents bought me if most of my allowance is allready spent? rental prices are going up in kitsilano aswell. but how the hell will i get my decafafprappalattemochachino if i live somewhere that doesnt have 2 starbucks across the street from eachother and within a 3 block radius of my house?

times is hard. the man is coming down even harder and he aint letting up. i say we picket city hall and demand equal rights for over priveleged youths.

sincerely,

silas \"this place really does suck, i'm going to go build a hut out of twigs and bat guano and live the rest of my days in the bush\" bancroft

 ;)

j/k buddy.

Something tells me I need to go to the \"Silas school of forum responses\" Theres no way that I'm that creative or can come up with a comeback to match half the hilarity of the last one...
