I was looking around on theshoptalkforums.com and read about a book called turbomania. Does anyone know where I can buy this in Vancouver?
I don't have a vw but maybe in the future. I have an 86 civic wagon. It was carburated but I have converted it to fuel injection with vacuum advance for now. I just bought a t25 turbo and want to try and use it on the stock keihin carb. The carb was giving me problems and I had the f/i stuff so I just decided to try it out. Now I have a chance to take the carb apart and inspect it.
I had a weber 32/36 last year but sold it since it would starve under braking since it was meant for a rwd car I assume. The stock honda carb is made by keihin. I have taken all the vacuum lines off of it except for the secondary. I moved the hose for the secondary so it opens at about 2000rpm instead of 5000rpm. That made a huge difference.
I need to see if it will be possible to do a blowthrough on the stock carb, and I'm hoping the book will have info on modifiactions to similar carbs.
