In the process of restoring my old copper hurst. Just wondering if anyone knows if the shaft was originally a polished copper, or more of a matte copper finish? I have to get it replated, so i only want to do it once. Also what color should the wood knob be? I was gonna stain it a similar colour as my Emgi GT wheel, but was just curious what they looked like when new back then.
