VW diesel and computerized emission controls

Interesting...

VW's TDI diesel emission controls only work when the car is being tested for emissions.
The car's computer turns on the emission controls, when the car's computer senses it is on a rolling dyno road test.

Volkswagen Uses Software to Fool EPA Pollution Tests
EPA charges that the German automaker installed emissions-control software designed to work only during tests
