wtb: Baywindow clevis pin lever
« on: April 25, 2013, 01:21:17 PM »
The repros of these everyone sells does not have the correct geometry for the early Bay, so I'm looking for an original lever that is not worn.

Original on the left, repro on the right.

The geometry of the repro part renders the early cable on the early bus too short.

If you can't find one bring the part by my shop and I'll weld up the worn area. I've had to do a few.

I'm parting out a 69 double cab. I'll see if the lever is in good shape.

Hi Batan, sorry I got snowed under with work, but I'll get a look at that lever first thing tomorrow. Sunday is my work on the bus day.

I'd take it to Geoff. I have welded a few myself and it works great. Seems all I have seen are worn. Darn old Buses :)

This one is a little warn too. There is never any freeplay as the clutch return spring pulls it all tight. Your call.

Seems like that is the best thing to do. :)
