headlight opinions
« on: September 30, 2012, 09:03:23 AM »
my daily drivers factory headlights are kinda getting useless from age, and i really don't feel like hitting a deer, raccoon or horse ( wild penticton horses ).  who out there runs HIDs in thier car,are they worth it? what about HID LED? i've seen them on some trucks at work and they're certainly bright, but what about as low and high beams? or should i just toss in some good halogens?

whats your daily driver? hid s arent legal unless the vehicle was factory euipped. hid retrofit kits are just that. retro-fit...universal. i sell autoparts for a living & hid & led are great add on lights but poor fits for o/e. we get a ton of complaints & warranty trouble with hids... flicker, slow to change from low to high{blackness for a second} poor direction. sorry just my opinion

I did a retro fit on my truck. Acura TL projectors and Mormioto ballasts, with no flickering issues, it is a little work to get them setup, but well worth it in the end with a headlight and true high beam.
