...im not getting out of the fun i got other cars i can still play with...
pffft...dont spend your money or waste your time on that h20 crap!
if you end up deciding to sell it, it will be hard to make your cash invested back...but i'm looking at it this way.
#1-cut it up. you'll sell a dash here. a hood there. the doors later. the glass. decklid. fenders. interior bits & pieces. you'll have to place alot of adds, deal with alot of tire kickers or no shows, deal with shipping, you'll probably end up sitting on a bunch of the stuff for a long while. and the money you'll make? maybe as much as if you were to sell it whole. probably less.
#2-keep the car complete (body, decklid, hood, doors, fenders, glass, seats, etc). throw the drums back on it. throw the stock beam back in it. throw the stock wheels back on it. sell it like that. then sell the narrowed beam, motor, wheels & tires, and brake setup all seperatley or as combined package deals. i think you'll have more luck selling & making most of your money back this way.
#3-sit on it. we'll wrench on it every second or third weekend. you'll toss a bit more cash at it as time allows (not much left...rotors & front clip...?). you'll be driving it by the summer and if you still decide to sell it, it'll be way easier because it'll be a rolling, driving, stopping, kick ass looking car...and cheap vw people like that alot more than a cut up or unfinished project.

so...what's the least evil of all those choices? #3...then #2...then #1.
but that's just my opinion.
