Temp seat covers?
« on: October 11, 2009, 05:36:19 PM »
Anybody knows if anybody locally sells cheap covers that would fit lowback A/C seats remotely well? I need something temporary(like a month or two kind of thing) that I can put over the stock seats. Something cheap that does not have to last long as I am planning on getting 911 seats in there, but I would rather attend to other things the bus needs right now. But still, something better then T-shirts over seats, lol.  The OG seats are crap so they would not leave the greatest impression during the inspection(bus has been imported) either. I will keep the OG seats but I will not restore them at this point as I want the 911 ones in although I will see to mount the 911 seats in a reversible manner. But for the life of me, I can't seem to find any info online for cheap-ass covers.  :-\

OG seats:
I duct taped the driver's side...

Let me know when inspection day is and you can borrow a pair of good looking seats for the test.

Still though, am I wrong to assume that these covers I talk about don't exist?

Well there's these they are at least available locally and relatively cheap, I'll make a deal on the seats or at least the covers with you when you're done with them. Other than that you'll have to get in touch with one of the upholstery guys here like Squareweave, Gdog or Redsnapper.

I'll consider that route. I wish the stock seats were nicer as I do find stock aircooled seats very comfortable but I don't feel like restoring another set... but who knows.
Do you by any chance have the cluster bezel that houses the instruments? The clips on mine that hold the instrument glass are all broken so the glass falls on the speedo needle preventing the speedo from working.... ::)
