At C.I.P. you can trust us to sell only the best replacement metal fenders available for your Beetle. We can ship by UPS directly to your door. These new metal fenders are easily installed and make  quick work of restoring your Beetle. Although we always try to offer the finest quality parts available - please realize that original quality German made fenders are not available. The best fenders made today come from Brazil, Mexico or Italy and are significantly thinner then the original German made fenders. Because new replacement fenders may have a slightly different shape, please purchase in pairs to guarantee that  you get a matched pair of fronts or rears.

Contact Geoff.  A couple of years ago he had a pair of NOS genuine VW front fenders for 74+ std Beetle.  He may still have them.

Otherwise, the best in existance is fenders from VW of Mexico.  They require some work to fit a 74+ car since they have bumper slots to fit 68-73 cars.  These are the fenders I installed on my 75 a couple of years ago.
Get these genuine VW fenders from Antonio:

Thanks Bruce.

PM sent to Geoff, and if that doesn't man out I'll check out the other source. I've got a Brazil fender on the one side, so I know the need to look for quality!

On a side not, here's the houndstooth the car had:

I found a source with fabric that is close, it has one more strand then the original...and I know a source who has a bolt of cloth that is original. Both are out of the budget range, so I guess it's TMI tweed ;-)
