muffler and spindle question
« on: August 01, 2008, 11:26:00 AM »
Just wondering where I can pick up an A1 muffler for a bugpack merged header or are the mufflers CIP carries any good? Any other ideas welcomed.

Also where is the best spot to have king pins pressed out? I'm in white rock so this end of town would be benificial.

Thanks and sorry for posting in this forum I just noticed that the others get slow replies,

Richard

No need to apologize, we are all here to get help or help others with what ac VWs.

You could try CIP1 or AVR. you can probably call both of them and get answers to your questions faster than waiting for the anxwers here as everyone appears to be bussy at this time.

if you cant find what you are looking for, try the following:

Good luck on your search.

I'd stay away from the Empi stainless muffler (A1 lookalike) that cip sells, it's a junk grade of SS. the one I had rusted on the pipe off the collector.

If you can't find an A1 muffler locally, you could try aircooled.net.  I've been running their A1 Magnaflow 2.5" muffler for over four years...still looks good (ceramic coated) and it matches nicely to my Bugpack ceramic header :)
