Vw Date Stamped?
« on: November 21, 2007, 08:35:02 AM »
What parts/components did VW either date stamp or provide a serial number that could be traced back to a date. For example the obvious ones:

1. Date Stamped: Speedo, Rims...

2. Serial Number: Engine, Tranny, Front end...

Are there anymore that you can think of?

Damn near everything has the little circle with a date in it somewhere (at least later stuff), hard to find but there. Seen them on doors, lids, aircleaners, suspension parts, pedals, etc.. There's always the date on the back of the speedo for the lazy ones.
