Removing Front Seats
« on: August 12, 2006, 11:41:29 PM »
Trying to remove front seats on a 71 Super.
From what I have read, they should slide out the front but there is a \"pin\" that stops it and trying to remove it out the back, the rail it slides on has a flared tip that stops it.
What the hell???
There are plastic covers on the rails that the seats slide on.
Any suggestions or magic to doing this?
Thanks,
Derek

There should be a release on the inside rail. You will have to push it down with a screwdriver or something. As you're holding the release down push the seat forward.

Although 72 and 72 seat tracks look the same as earlier ones, there's an extra tang that prevents the seat from sliding all the way out.  You have to depress it with a screwdriver like BM said.
