Wheel Balancing Question
« on: April 02, 2006, 08:58:42 AM »
I have a set of standard 5 lug bus rims and took them to get tyres on , the dood said that they couldn't balance them because there machine couldn't deal with the large centre holes,( fountain tyre 10feet from my house) he said that i would need somewhere with an old machine?  Any ideas? Has anyone come across similar problems? or have a solution.
Thanks

You need a machine with an adapter that will grab the rim by the bolt holes and not the center. Newer machines have them too. Call a Kal Tire or Big ). I know Tom the tire guy has set up VW guys for years (my dad got a set of rims and tires from him in the 70's) he may be able to help you out
