He bought the rusty 64 bug we had......had a few problems getting it running but he did drive away. Anyone know if it made it more than 3 blocks.

Home safe and sound.  Beetle was a champ.  On behalf of the responses I have named him Waldo.    A VERY big thanks to Geoff and Danny.  The trip was rather uneventful.  Had to stop to pick up fuses for the headlights but other than that a perfect trip.

I didn't have my digital camera with me so I had to make do.  Here is a pic of me and the Bug half way up the Fraser Canyon #1 Hwy.

I drove it from Airspeed to Salmon Arm.  I took the Fraser Canyon (#1 TCH).  I didn't have any problems with any of the hills.  In fact I was only passed once by a tractor trailer going up a hill and he was empty.  Stopped for fuel once in Lytton (1/2 tank) and arrived home with 1/2 a tank still in the car.  About $28.00 in fuel over all.  AND NO TOLL!!!!!
