We will be having a position coming open soon for a second shift Safety officer. This position will require the incumbent to have a good working knowledge of our provincial regs WCB, good knowledge of confined spaces, hot work processes, commbustables as we deal with vast amounts of fuels from time to time such as bunker, diesel, gas, jet, to benzenes, also caustics to name just a few. The applicant should have some industry knowledge but not necessarily marine.
The applicant should be physically fit and hold a valid first aid ticket level 2 or preferably a level 3. The successful applicant will be training from 3-4 weeks with the current incumbant; they will be hired on a contract basis to start. This position will be of particular interest to individuals who want to expand their knowledge in the Safety field as we offer situation from A to Z and then some to gain knowledge in the occupational field.
