WTB: 914 2.0L Core or case
« on: August 31, 2018, 06:43:36 PM »
Looking to for a 914 2.0L engine core or case. Needs to be 914, not bus, as I'm not interested in the case mods to make it work with the 914 oil temp sender and other bits.

That's the first I've heard of that, the 914 sender replaces the plain bus "taco" plate with a special Porsche one, other than the flywheel, pistons, compression ratio and heads it's just a bus motor.

doesn't the 914 case have a built in windage tray and different dip stick location.

Ahh yes, the dipstick is beside the breather tower, not hard to find those since the 411/412 used the same spot, or drill the hole yourself. The tray is bolted in before the case halves go together, it fits in any type 4 case.

Type 4 for the win.
