Any opinions on a 1903, street pro 40x35 heads, 74x90.5, engle 110, dual kadrons? Just had one built and curious if anyone else has good or bad to say

Sounds like a good combo. The carbs would be the weak point but you could always upgrade to webers down the road. Should work well on the street.

I'm considering a similar build, are you using standard or stroker pistons in that?
Anyone tell me what max stroke length before having to go to stroker pistons?
Thanks

Also ask if it has straight cut gears. They can add noise too.

you want to set chromo p/r's up for "loose zero"....put your feeler gauges back in the tool box and adjust so you just have a little bit of resistance when twisting the pushrod with thumb and index.  Make sure you recheck after tightening the jam nut cause they will move. Motor must be stone cold when setting.

I like the mechanical sounds of moly pushrods and straight cuts with lots of lash....top that with a lumpstick of a cam and some IDS's of course and  :party1:

Valve adjust calmed the racket.but I did set apparently too loose. I may give it a few days before tightening up the clearance. It is a fresh motor. Fitting the exhaust was sure a pain int the ass with the motor width changing but other than that Iit seems to be working ok.

So are all stroker motors noisey? This fresh motor is up and running and running well but seems to have a lot of mechanical noise. Gear whine(I think), valve train.just noisey. My stock 1500 in my buggy is so quiet u cant even always tell its running.

Mine was making a racket, sounded like valves;it was a major exhaust leak.Wider engine with stock size exhaust.Didn't fit.
what can possibly go wrong?                                                                     64ghia

I actually bought a new header and cut it up and widened it & twisted it up for more ground clearance, then welded it all back togethr
