It's on the spit at Iona beach park - actually on private property (logging/mill company?).

You'd have to cut through a steel gate to drive to it, otherwise you'd have to carry it out.
You could use a piece of pipe through the header, kinda like a stuffed pig, with a guy on
either end of the pipe.

You're prolly too late... I had someone else PM me for more info about it's location:

where did you see that? the are a couple of pieces on it i'd be interested in  XXXXXXXX

It's in Richmond past the Airport on the North Arm jetty.

They've most likely already driven down there in the rain and stripped the poor thing bare...

It used to be quite the off-road haven in the 70's and early 80's.
When they finally closed it off to the public, they used a piece of railway track as a gate.
Well one night, two guys in a Jeep decide to go off-roading down there. They hit the gate
at full speed and decapitated themselves..... Cameron can confirm this story.

The motor looks like a piece of crap. Only a few usable parts. Might have some core value. That header looks mighty handsome though!

Back in the early 1980's, three army people were out there cruising around in a Jeep, at night time.  The army people got in by driving over  the barricade, an earthen wall. But they tried to leave by going back out on the road, through a gap in the wall. Like Art said, there was a railway rail across the entrance of the area. The rail cleared the front of the jeep but took off the top. The two people in the front were killed, the person in the back got tossed out with the roof, and survived.  Ouch!

I checked out motor and talked to owner of property it's on. He wouldn't let me get parts off it but would sell me whole motor, but would't pin down a price till i looked at it. It has been ther a long time, full of water to the brim.  T-P header weak at bends and only things worth taking was oil filter/cover and remote oil cooler adaptor. HOWEVER there was a bar attached to oil pump cover ( i guess to mount in a rail?)  and to remove bar and filter housing you have to remove crankshaft pulley.  HA HA, some clown welded the nut and washer to the pulley big time. So it would take major grinding or torches to get pulley off, so motor would have to be removed from sight. A mile frome parking lot. What ever price he had in mind is too much for the effort, i didn't ask.   RUST IN PEACE
