This is the one on the samba right?

Very nice!  Just curious, did it have a bigger engine in it before? (Just by the tranny).  Or is that for freeway cruising?

ehos, the car used to have a 2332 in it and make high 12 passes in the 1/4

Yeah! I thought so :)

It seemed to have a built tranny for a stock 1600 :)  Is the engine for sale also or is it already sold?

the tranny is a 4.12 with a solid front mount, and poly rear mounts.  I believe it is otherwise stock, but I could be wrong.  I still have the 1600.  its running perfectly and I have an aircare slip from about 1 month ago.  it passed amazingly well.  I was blown away.

haha, I installed the tranny with gavin, and then had to take it out a few more times with the nose cone issue, etc....

I took it around the block knowing that the tranny fluid was old, therefore it was a little loud.  

but its all good now! I installed new fluid and lubed up everything the next morning, and its perfect now. no loud noises anymore.  took the car for a 300 mile drive, no problems.  nice and smooth, no poping out of gears, no headaches!

car is 90% sold.  going to toronto.  the motor will stay with the car.  if not, I'd want $900 firm for it.  complete turnkey that passes aircare with flying colors, and is VERY strong.
