Thanks!

I would have completely missed it had you not said something. No idea why I didn't know it was happening this fast.

thanks for posting this silas...

i know i harp on this every election, but it's really, really important that you all do your civic duty and grab your ballot tomorrow. as shown the last few weeks, we're in very interesting times... and this is your chance to have your say on what you want to happen.

granted, i know some don't have the patience for politics. fair enuf. but that doesn't get you off the hook. people died to make voting and elections a right in our country. so at the very, very least, go and pick up your ballot. spoil it by marking twenty X's all over, draw frowny faces all over it, hell, return it blank. you won't get in trouble, you won't get fined, because you have the right to protest your choices. but at the bare minimum, you at least held the ballot in your hands.

also, any of you with kids, i'd like to ask you a favour: when you go to the polls, bring the little ones. i remember going to the ballot box with my dad, and it impressed on me the importance of voting. model it for the next generation.
Sometimes I get the feeling the whole world is against me, but deep down I know that's not true. Some smaller countries are neutral.

Hey Matt  -  read your history !!!    We can't afford not to vote  -  the right to vote was purchased with lots of blood tears and sweat!!

I wonder what would happen if it were mandatory to vote? What if we had to option to vote no confidence in any candidate?

The Aussies have a manditory vote. $75 fine for not exercising your right.
