Some of you may know that I play softball a little bit... or a lot, depending on your definition. You may or may not have heard the news about my fave team ever, the Revolvers. We placed 2nd at provincials in Vernon, which qualifies us for SPN National Championships next summer in Niagara Falls, Ont. We're hella stoked to say the least!
Going to nationals to play ball has been a dream of mine for YEARS (no really, since I was a kid, so like, uh, a long time), and the team is doing what it can to ensure that no one is left behind because of financial hardship.
We're having a Paintball Fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. at Tswassen Paintball (for directions/map/info:
www.bcpaintball.com/portal.php). It's $20 per person and $10 for 100 paintball shots. We'll also have a BBQ going for hot dogs, hamburgers and bevvies. Proceeds from the day will go to the team to help us with travelling expenses and accommodations, etc.
We're hoping a few people can come out, and spouses, friends, etc. welcome. I know everyone's fundraising these days for all sorts of causes, but this would be a fun day out with some pretty cool folk (seriously, I love this team, they're so rad). Plus I'd be eternally grateful!
