Here's the world's only VW powered production bike called the Amazonas



Here's a \"Thin Bug\" at Orange County Raceway circa 1981



Here's the Kawell Racing parts van - one sweet ride!



I drove down to Sacramento one weekend for the Bug-In.
Snapped some pics near the end of the quarter mile of this 10 second bug



A second or two later and it went airborne, doing several endos just past the trap lights



Good thing he had a roll cage....

Again awesome pix.  Way behind the bike at the right is a flat black bug with rivearas on the front. That is Martin Douse, that car later was painted green, got michelle wheels and turbo motor and ran 10.70's at 125mph up at Ashcroft. We very excited when mission was about to open again but the car has never run since Ashcroft and sits in his garage to this day.

Hans in the top left is mike grocott with mike hornac and I think my future wife Carmen .There standing beside red snappers yellow bug

I wan't a ride in the Kawell race bus before I die.
