Title: Body Mods For A Hi-po Drivetrain
Post by: kirin on September 17, 2006, 07:52:38 PM
Hey guys,
I have my project in the works and I'm wondering what allocations I need to make before my car is finally painted. Any ideas on what holes should be drilled or things to consider? I'm mostly curious of talking to those that have been down this road before....

best suggestion may be to just primer your car and then do motor and drivetrain installation and then tear it down for paint.

I like that idea. I know Jim Martin went through the same thing. Sure its a bit of a longer method but you might as well do it once do it right?

yep, thats why im not worried about painting my car yet, get it right electrically and mechanically and then get it painted.

Mock Up , Mock Up! Darren 's 55 was partially assembled and taken apart many, many times. The car will always turn out alot nicer.

Well then I guess thats what I will have to do.
Get the car in primer with the finished up pan and drive line. And then get the sucker to run...

Any tips on electrical? Get it all electrically sorted pre-paint or what?
