Title: New To Surrey, Old To Vws

Just though I'd make an intro.  I just move to Surrey a couple weeks ago from the States in Baltimore, Maryland (East Coast).  I moved here to take Industrial Design in Emily Carr.  I left my cars back home though since 1) too expensive to tranpsort them here 2)no place to put them here and 3) will be too occupied with full time college.

Right now I have 2 cars left before moving, had to sell the rest because of \"property code violation\" some neighbor complaint about.  

1) 1944 KDF Kubelwagen.

2) 1958 Beetle.  My main project for the past 3.5 years.  Chopped, channelled (body drop), sectioned (body chop), raked doors, body relocated, Z'd frame (bent framehead), custom dash, custom rear window treatment, etc.  Everything is all metal.  More info on this car at http://www.runtrod.com/project-runt.html (http://www.runtrod.com/project-runt.html)

Picts below are it's temporary \"theme\" hurrily prepped for a car show (body work nowhere near done, etc).  It will be more fit and finished once complete done.  Some parts used on this theme are authentic WW2 Kubel accessories

you've got some killer rides (i'm especially fond of the kubel). best of luck with school.

thanks for the welcome guys.  I'm near Surrey Central area.  Hopefully one day I can buy a project while I'm up here.

That's what people tell me, but it's paradise compared to my old city of Baltimore, always in the top 5 worse crime rate city in US every year.  But still am careful of course :ph34r:
