Title: "straight Outta Coronation Street.....
Post by: silas on August 22, 2006, 10:03:27 PM
....a motherfu@%er named mc commer\".

so this pos 1964 commer van rolls into our shop on monday with a misfire and a leaky carb. i've never seen one, and upon closer inspection, you can tell that the brits were looking to ride the coat-tails of the successes of the early type 2's.

however, drinking a bottle of red wine for breakfast every day doesnt help when designing an automobile... B)

hole for the crank start...incase that lucas ignition system ever fails you...but that would never happen...right?

reminicent of early type 2 dash pod...

(https://airspeedparts.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi64.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fh162%2FSilasBancroft%2FIMG_0007.jpg&hash=6d4e811ae65a011368cc1c81e6e9d6b7365311c1)

you just know that many lasses got shagged rotten in there...i mean...who could resist...

(https://airspeedparts.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi64.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fh162%2FSilasBancroft%2FIMG_0008.jpg&hash=be155c25e064651cdae459d175ddeb72d33ba68e)

upon closer inspection, the brits were way ahead of the times in one category...narrowed beams. check out the tuckage. from wheel to wheel the front measures 41\"s...the rear 48\"s. badazzz.

(https://airspeedparts.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi64.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fh162%2FSilasBancroft%2FIMG_0005.jpg&hash=29a87ec943cbca33db5f1cb0712e8a7d53c4e2fb)

and this commer also rolls a little cal-look action.

It's kinda got a mystery machine look to it.

Just think though, you could slam it to the ground and never worry about getting hung up on something because the oil those english cars are constantly dripping would keep the road lubed up. ;)

Wow, I've never seen a Q speed rating on a tire before.  I bet it's below a T.  That sure makes a nice truck tire, don't it?

Whoa!! That has to be my neighbors Commer that we used to take to elementary school in Deep Cove back in the 70's. I remember Mrs. Zaslove fumbling with the choke to keep it running..what a flashback!
