Title: Dwell Angle
Post by: slammedbus on August 11, 2006, 06:10:50 PM
What should the dwell angle be for a used set and a new set of points for a T3? It has an 009.

Thanks

Stick a matchbook cover in between the points and call it a night.  This is the DIY way of doing it.

I believe Bentley say 42-58 deg. Use a 0.016 feeler guage to get it close. A Pertronix is a very good investment too. More power and amazing mileage.

That's far too much variance.
The spec is 47

Thanks a lot guys. Looks like it doesn't much matter now. I will keep the note for when motor is back together.
