So I was just over at the CLF reading the forum (am a lurker, not a member) and was reading all the comments about the top 20/10 that they have every year.
I was thinking a local version of this would inspire more competition amongst us, what do you guys think?
It definatly seems like the performance end of the hobby is growing strong here and it would most likely make some pretty good nights at the track.

Wouldnt it be more fun for you to show up with your car James. Its no fun watching in the stands. All the time youve spent on the computer, you could have built 2 cars by now. :P

Hey James sounds like a good idea,the amount of old and new people to the VW scene that are building or planning to build a fast STREET car just blows me away!I will have are new prototype Drag Stabilizer Bar here for view this afternoon if anyone wants to come and veiw and get in on the first production run.I am making one for early and late pans.NO WELDING AND VERY LITTLE CUTTING REQ.Give me a call.

I'll be by tmrw to see it - I have that 20 for ya, havent had time to come by yet.
I am picking up my CSP bar today, I'll bring it by to compare them.
That's why a top 20 would be a good idea, it's one thing to come on here and talk the talk (which I do if anyone hasn't noticed) but to actually have a list that backs up your claim/standings in the perfomance community.
Maybe it's something that the DGLVK could sponsor.....

The original and local version is the 100mph club. Hitting the 100mph mark sounds easy but is a hard thing to do in a beetle. A top 10-20 would be a good idea but there are 20 fast cars already out there and that would not leave any room for the newcomers thats why we did the 100mph club. We can have as many join as can make it and once your in your a life member (ya even get a cool window decal :-))
