I beleive my idle jet is plugged, how do I un-plug it.

I think it is plugged because the engine refuses to idle.

Does the solenoid on the left side just above the throttle shaft go click when you turn on the ignition? Is it loose? Is the wire to it ok?

Yes ,no and yes wire is good, solenoid clicks when power is turned on.......?

Chech if the large slotted brass screw just above the solenoid (idle speed) is out around 3-5 turns and the smaller one (idle mixture) just below it out around 3 turns? Was it idling fine before and suddenly quit? If that's the case take out both screws and the solenoid and give the holes a good shot of compressed air. Check that the little screw that touches the choke ratchet plate is just barely touching it when the choke is off. Back it out then screw it in until it just touches and then 1/4 turn more. On top of that look for vaccum leaks on the manifold. Is the little hose for the decel valve attached to the left manifold? If it's not there is it capped?

You might have a plugged air bleed. Rev the engine up to 3K or so and place a piece of cardboard over it. Keep the engine running. The down point of this method is that you suck the dirt further down the circuit if it's too big. You could remove the idle jet and use compressed air to get it out the way it came in. The first method has worked every time though.
