Just curious as to what the quality of these units are like...
-
If you're talking about these ones, they're supposed to be very good. ----->]] http://eisparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc...D/NP/113898400A (http://eisparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?page=EIS/PROD/NP/113898400A)

They look good, but you can still find a very nice set at a swap meet. Even after buying the windows and replacing the seals I bet you would still be way under the price of those.
-
kirin, i just picked up an O.G set of oval pop outs at a local swap meet here, they are in really nice condition and i paid 300 for them. if that helps
-
I just picked up some early pop-outs for $150, they will need seals and part of a latch but hey its original glass!
-
Well I bought a set. I figure for the price with new everything and seals and stuff and the fact that they are \"NEW!\" Is completly worth it. Now time to go drill holes in the body.
-
Do the repro windows mount in the stock location? If so, the holes for mounting are probably under your headliner already. Use a fine pick to locate them.
-
I'm sure they do mount in the stock location. However since my car just went in for body and paint its time for an investigation..

unless the car originally came with popouts, the holes wont be there.

A lot of cars have the hole spots dimpled if they're not already drilled.Just find the holes n' yer good to go bad boy!!!!

Not true, I've installed them on a '67 that was fixed glass from the factory. The holes (not dimples) were there under the headliner. I'm not going to say it's every bug, just the couple I've looked at.

when i installed my pop outs the holes were under the head liner .
