Not yet.

The list says 3.88 R&P.  The code says it was made on June 28, 1973.  It's a SSC, right?  If so, it has a 9 tooth mainshaft, 15 tooth side gears in the diff, likely a steel 1-2 fork.

Is it a swing axle or IRS?  If IRS, SSC or DSC?

Hang onto that one.  That is the perfect core to build the ultimate swing axle gearbox.

Guided late TO bearing
90mm long clutch arm
Late larger pinion bearing
15 tooth side gears
9 tooth splined mainshaft
O-Ring'd side covers
Likely a steel 1-2 shift fork

I was at Darren's place yesterday and saw a late swing gearbox he had.  It was the same as yours, but the code, AY, is a 4.12 R&P.
