Title: General Questions,
Post by: egspot on June 15, 2006, 06:11:07 AM
1- Can I identify the size of the flywheels by looking at the Starter numbers? i.e. 200mm vs 180mm?

2-The 66 has a 1300, 12V coil so, I am assuming starter and flywheel are 12V too.

3- Is there any differences between 12V and 6V transmisions, other than the starter?

More later

Bellhousing clearanced for larger flywheel, 12v starter bushing.

Some people still use the 6v starter on 12v, cranks real fast just don't do it for too long.

Thanks.

I quest that I will have to check the starters for some numbers that indicate whether they are 12 V or not.

6v starter has larger shaft and gear. Difference is obvious, especially when compared side-by-side.
