Title: Transaxle Id Table?

Does anyone know of a good website for identifying Type 1 split case transaxles? I am looking for a table that tells me the year for transaxle ID code.

Ignore the A(B) in front of the transmission numbers.

Thanks Bruce,

The tranny I have is # A247 7010. The Samba Table you provided has more digits, besides ignoring the \"A\" are there digits that should be ignored? According to the table my bet guess is that the tranny is from Aug 1959?
