The rear of my bug is a bit saggy and I'd like to have the car level or slightly lower in the front. Is there an easy way to drop the front just a little? Or can I just replace the rear shocks? What's my easiest option without having to crank up the rear torsion bars?
Thanks,
Ches

not the best way, but a cheap way is to pull some of the front Springs.
Right way would be to get an adjustable front beam.

it sounds like the back end is the problem so i'd deal with that first. it's not that hard turning torsion bars.
if you want to lower the front after that get a beam with adjusters in it so you can dial in the desired height or install drop spindles.
i would advise against removing leaf springs from the front beam.

Pull the leaf springs out! I did it! Temporary but hey it does the job and rides awsome!

I was thinking about going the cheap route by pulling out some leaves but doesn't that mean I have to take everything apart?? I think I am going to go with the dropped spindles, do I need any specific tools or would a hammer do the trick? Anybody has a set for drum brakes that they want to sell cheap?
