We're hauling the 55 down to The Classic..everythings going great, then, Bang goes the right rear 24\" tire on the elevated highway section in downtown Seattle... As I drive the truck and trailer off the I5 with a police escort and a rather large traffic jamb behind me, we get on the phone and locate a new tire. Back up to Les Schwab in Shoreline..no problem. Back on the highway, the new wheel develops a nasty leak at the valve stem..argh.The Les Schab guys did appear to have some trouble mounting that monster. Swap on the spare in Portland. No problem. Next,. we meet up with the Airspeed crew near Roseburg to caravan. As we pull up, Kleetus recognizes the wonderful scent of gear lube..argh. As we try to nurse the rig to the gas station, she's making some unpleasant crunching noises. One roasted diff. Here we are at the Best Western, waiting for the Dodge dealership to open in the morning. Update to follow soon.

Total Bummer!
If I were you I would cut my losses trying to tow with that thing, Leave it at the Dealership to fix,
and go rent a decent size Chev or Ford Truck use that down and back, and pick up the Dodge on the way home. At least you can get on your way this morning without loosing a day sitting around.
Good luck Dood.

That sux.
I've \"been there, done that\" twice while towing my cars. Once a tranny under warrentee. Luckily both times I had made it to where I wanted to be for the next few daze. :D
Napa area is a good place to be with a street bug, lots of stops to be made at a winery or ten, that was one of the break downs
hope all is well.....

That's too bad. I hope the rest of your trip is better!

Last I heard they had obtained the shop truck from United Rentals. According to Lanny his foot was to the floor and it was doing 60.
