So most of you know that we are planning to move back to the coast this summer if all works out. We were also planning to make a move with friends of ours. Find a property that is subdividable and bang, we are neighbors. Well last week Bill gets the news that he has multiple Myloma (SP?) basically bone cancer.
For you prayer sayers please remember Bill (53 is just too young to go). Otherwise some good ol VW mojo seems to go a long way as well.

Holy crap that sucks, Best wishes go out to them both....

Wow! That's really bad news. Multiple myeloma is a serious concern.
Bill and his wife are going to have a hard time, and will need all the moral support friends, and family, can provide.
Keep us informed.
More information on multiple myeloma can be found here:

Having just gone through the whole cancer thing with my grandfather recently, and my mother years ago I can relate to this and it's not easy on anybody. My thoughts go out to your friend
Best wishes :mullet:

That really bites...our prayers are with Bill and his wife

Well, Bill underwent a hip cementing (an alternative to replacement due to his condition). The cancer has spread to the entire half of the hip. He lost a lot of blood and had to undergo a transfusion as well.
-
mucho mojo for your buddy from here

As stated a few posts back in this thread, my cousin \"was\" fighting cancer. She lost the fight yesterday about 2 in the afternoon. I will continue to pray for Bill and his family. Hope things turn around for him.

Damn. Sorry to hear that Blarney :( . Alll the best to you and your family. I have lost my father and favorite uncle to cancer.......hope one day they figure it out. I grow tired of all the death from this disease.
Bill still wants to do the move with us. Says it will keep his mind on good things. Kathy thinks that having our young kids around will do good for his spirits. Hopefully I won the 29 million yesterday cause at least 20 of it is going to cancer research.

All the best to Him and the Family and all affected by this stuff.
-
WOW!
That sure put things in perspective. Makes my small desire to do things and get things seems very tiny.
It is all about holding on and living each day with your love ones.
I will say my prayers on behalf of him and his family
