The side panels for the lower seat frame(front seats). Not sure if they came on 66's but 68 and up for sure.  One on each seat on the outside.

Yeah,  they came installed on '68 and later seat frames.

also had (have) the same panels on my '66 seats Emilio.

Those are definitely the early ones.  The later ones only have one of the retainer straps, and they are usually broken off.

Was there different versions of the 66 ? i.e Classic, Deluxe or something like that which may explain it?
