Hmmm, I wonder what I was watching on the tower cam then?  You must have gotten there late.

I had to stay late at work, so I put the cam on the 'puter on auto refresh.   I saw at least 3 rounds of DOMs.   Not one single VW in the IMP class.

was one of the first t@t none high schooled people down the track, stopped back at home base for a jet and ignition change ,back in the line up ready for a good go and that was it sprinkles / light rain ,poor wayne was stuck at the burn out box and nener got to run at all,30 min later the rain stopped and things were drying up but all the mission employies had gone home, track could of been running by 1.30 -2.00 again
next time

despite the rain, i had a blast.

it was nice to meet wayne and robert and have a chat. it is too bad that there were so many highschoolers running, they used up alot of time. damn kids... ;) . and if the track officials hadnt of left after the first drop of rain there could have been at least a couple more hours of fun.

i'd rather watch VWs run too, but it's nice to hear the kids are actually racing at the track instead of on the streets.  B)

On the subject of kids racing at the track; BCSSMA runs the high school series and I have contacted someone on the board in regards to a possible sponsorship of a VW in the series, there might be one running and am waiting on details. Maybe we could make it a community thing? Check out http://www.highschooldragracing.org/ (http://www.highschooldragracing.org/) for more info about the series.

Just wait a bit on that one.......I may have a mechanics job down that way. Would love to do that.

If the AS community wants to get involved with this, Moonlight will sponsor the paint work. I got a bunch of this copper colour around I could use.

James.....please save all good ideas for current engine rebuild project. You have just used up all your good ideas for the month now  :(

Should know soon. I would imagine that it should be in the next few weeks. Would be cool to hook up an evening in a month where the kids could work with some racers to build this thing as my knowledge comes from what I have read not from what I have done in the racing end of things. Will let you guys know.
