Big thanks to TJ at Big O  tyres in maple ridge for balancing my wide 5's comes thoroughly recommended as they use the original adaptor from VW aparently came with the shop 20 yrs ago.
Hes a VW guy as well, runs a 65 Kombi

I always get my tire work done at the OK tire here in Parksville. They have the wide 5 adapter for balancing as well.

TJ used to be my neighbor when I lived in Poco. Funny thing...the neighbors on both sides of me ended up buying busses (TJ was one) :)  Like to think that I had something to do with it :wub:

are there any other recommendations when it comes to a shop that can balance wide 5's? something closer to vancouver perhaps.

here's another recommendation for tj at big-o tires. if you have a wide 5 rim with a tire on it that needs balancing, he can do it. friendly guys, good, quick service, and reasonable rates.

i told him about the westcoast showdown so hopefully he'll show up with his bus.
