Title: Possible To Register Old Plates?
Post by: kirin on May 03, 2006, 08:16:10 PM
Hey guys,
I have some vintage looking blue with white lettered plates. I have both. I'm wondering if anybody would know if it would be possible to actually be able to register my car to thema nd then use them instead of the new ugly reflective ones?

I think you can only do that if they are uncirculated plates, and I'm not sure if you can do it in BC at all. I've never seen anyboby running them. Cool idea though, I'd love to do it myself.

Doubt it,  ICBC's far too anal with that stuff. Seen 71 plates on other cars but they are always showing current plates somewhere too. You have to move to California to pull off cool stuff like that.

Like Russ said, absolutely no.  You are currently stuck with the 85 and newer style.
