'68 bug it never ran well, but since we rebuilt the carb (34 pict 3) it does not run.
We can't seem to make it run properly. The rotor does not line up with the notch on the rotor base (1/4 turn out) as a start. Back fires runs for a short time and quits. We are getting really frustrated, but nothing seems to work. where do we start where do we go Help help HELP

have you static timed it ?

Yes we static timed it,ensured all wires are correct, it still runs rough and back fires

What distributor?

Vacuums connected?

Did you moved the dist. in order to take out the carb?

If cables are correct, It must be timing.

You can maybe re-check you setting on the carb, or maybe get someone here to lent you a hand for free or a six pack or something.
