you know, i was seriously planning to make the trip down to enjoy my first classic this year. with darren debuting his 55 and apparently buddy hale has another car coming out, the event will be off the hook.
but it is more than likely that i will be in calgary celebrating my grandma's 93rd birthday. and that girl can party, so you know i wouldnt miss it for anything.
there's always next year.

But the problem is, next year you will be celebrating grandma's 94th.

Shawn, I'd double check that host hotel info. It's been the Crowne Plaza in Irvine since I can remember. I know a bunch of DVKK clowns are once again planning on terrorizing Mutts in Newport.. Yes, there are at least four 'no limit' cars debuting at Nicks. Darrens 55, Steves Neudorfs 67, Darrell Bakers 58, and GARY ECONOMYS 67!!. Darrens 55 has a spot on the Paradise dyno on Sat morning , worth the 1.5 hour drive to San Marcos.

Looks like i'll be driving the Heb-Roid to the Classic...if it makes it :D First stop, Mutt's for a cold one or...... four

Lanny,
Thanks for the news on the official debut list.
When are you leaving? Are you flying down or driving?
What airport do you recommend flying into?
Mark Wisheart and I will probably be flying down.
Thanks,
Shawn

I'm flying down most likely on tuesday as Darrens 55 has a shoot for Ultra VW on wed. Man this is going to be a fun event!

Just a quick note.. Rooms are booking up fast... I managed to get one...

LANNY,
SO YOU ARE SURE ITS THE CROWN PLAZA FOR THE HOST HOTEL?
WHICH AIRPORT DO YOU FLY INTO, SACRAMENTO OR SAN FRANSCISCO, WHICH AIRLINE ARE YOU FLYING ON?
SHAWN
-
yes the host hotel is the irvine crown plaza.
fly into LAX and rent a car.LAX is the cheapest flight you will get and it is about an hours drive to the hotel
-
Shawn, The Classic and Sacramento Bugorama are two different events. Like Russ said, for The Classic, LAX is usually the cheapest and easiest choice. I have found Alaska Airlines to be a good choice.
