Looks good kid If you still have access to this area make the weld a little more solid across the top and sides don't worry about the bottem thou. ... Just my 2 cents

Love it! Looks good bud.

Listen to what Chris said. A little more heat on the welds. Make the tacks a bit bigger. Good job bud!

alright thanks guys for the props, im only 19 and ive had the car since i was 16 and i didnt even have my lisence, (I couldnt even test drive it) but when i saw it i feel in love with it and now im all about aircooled VW's,ive been working on it since last may05 with my buddy then he kinda fell outta interest, ive done everything myself except the welding cuz i dont know how to. just picked up the bentley's book and started to read it i just tought myself how to do things. when I lifted up my carpet when i was cleaning it i saw    duct-tape around the pedal cluster  holding partily the rusted out heater channel I knew it would be a long time till i drove it next. every nice day that goes by it kills me I cant go out and drive my beloved bug around but ya ive done alot i think with it so far I bought a 1600 dual port dual carb off my neighbour jason for $500 witch i think is a steal when a new carb kit costs $500, put disc in the front, airspeed sway-bar, floor pans, heater channels, got the gas tanked dipped in that raditor fluid, new fenders, i was thinking about doing a narrowed beam but i dont like the stance i like my wheels wide :D, just some other minor things that needed to be done but im lucky to have a mom that puts up with my shit and a wide garage but more pics to come, ive applyed to airspeed so hopefully i get hired and learn even more then i do now hope to see you all at the swap later -jeff

to geoff no i didnt do the welding i dont know how i wish i did it woulda saved me some bucks

and to rustybus I did get my buddy to add more welds that wasnt the finished picture

You are doing a great job Young man.

Love those shots, and I see a different approach having the whole body on two by fours.

Keep up your journey man because you may not think it but you are inspiration to others to get of their a$$eS.
