Title: Kafer Brace
Post by: mike on December 08, 2003, 12:16:08 PM
I'm interested in getting a kafer brace system for my 58 type1. So far i've seen CSP's and TGfab's braces, both look good but they're both in the states. Anyone know of an alternative local to Vancouver?

TGfab's design would be preferred as it's an bolt on and also cheaper.

In January I plan on making my own, if all goes well I'll likely make a few for sale. If you not in a hurry keep that in mind otherwise from what I have heard from others is the CSP is by far the nicest of the bunch - airspeed is a dealer for their products.

i'll be gettingmy tranny rebuilt, so it'll be some time before getting it back with the holiday season and all.  What kind of price range ar you looking at for your brace?

i was also readin STF and Kevin mentions that there's someone down the street from ASP that makes them too. Anyone seen this brace?

We are also having them made but it will be a short while before they are done. They will be built by the same person who builds our cages. Cheif!

Any ideas as to your price range Geoff - if it's good I won't bother making them :)
Hey Mike I haven't a clue as to price range yet, I'll know mid to late January. I'm sure it will be well under 300 US that the other ones go for.

Once I finish my house reno's  I might do some machine stuff on the side, we'll see though.

cnc mill,  lathe ,  plasma up to 1 1/4\"  , mig with aluminum conversion, and a mind to be creative.
