What do you guys think, shall we move north or shall we move south?
The furthest north would be Mount Vernon or Sedro Wooley, the furthest south would be Olympia.
Just so ya'll know, we haven't put this on our forum yet, so please don't say anything, we aren't quite ready yet to let them know. They may beat us like a red headed step child for even thinking of moving.

NORTH!
-
I say North as well. It's cheaper up North isn't it?
-
It is also cheaper going south too.
-
But it's cheaper for us to drive to you if your North :P

agreed ;)

I kinda figured as much. It all depends on what we find. Right now he is looking at a place down in Olympia. I will try to put up a link to it if I can find it again.

Go North...South is sooooooo last season baby
-
WELL, Skagit county's sales taxes are a tad lower than Whatcom's... Sedro is a bit trashy, and Mount Vernon is booming... I5 exposure is ideal along the Vernon corridor, but the overhead is probably tough as well. I would help you move north, since your treading on my territory will only help me out! Interesting... Why move north? You're so well known that even a shop in the far reaches of the country would be AOK-- Maybe Sedro IS a good idea.
My vote is Burlington/ Mt Vernon... No further.
Good luck with your decisions. ^_^

Franklin, you should move as north as poss, it would be great to have two knowledgable shops close by as both specialize in different areas. Mount Vernon would be great since it is only a short drive from the border for us Canadians and Airspeed and yourselves could partnership some products more
-
I say north! Then I'll only be 1/2 hour drive from 2 great shops. There are a lot of VW's in the north 2 counties that would be happy to see you. The pickens up here are slim! ;)
-
If you guys are moving you should also take into consideration the school district for your children. Unless you're only moving the shop.

The plan is to move both house and shop. Our hope is to find a place where we can bring the shop home. You are right Art, the school district is an important factor where the kids are concerned.
We will keep you all informed on what happens. So far, it seems like it will be Olympia area.
-
Well what ever you guys figure out let me know and I'll be there to give you a hand moving.

Thanks Art. I will remember you said that. :D

Marysville around 202 exit would also be great place heard they are looking for new small busness's...Contact me when it's moving time have 4 trcks running i-5 daily..Dan
-
Franklin, if you do move more north I wont have to travel so far to get my cage done.
-
I believe that if you offer a superior product the work will come to you. Oly is packed full of VW's and you're still close enough to the VW rich Seattle area. I end up driving to the Oly area a lot for my VW needs. Go for it, get out of Seattle....... It's so last season! B)

I vote is for way south :D I have been looking at housing north of Portland and there is a big price jump from what we pay down here. I would guess the more north you go the better the deals are.
-
Well, the search is over (WE HOPE). We went all the way up to Sedro Woolley and all the way down to Rochester. If all goes well, we will be going to Graham.
Here is a link to the house that we are hoping to get. With our price cap (what we could afford) there wasn't much out there.

That looks like great house! I'm assuming with that 3000 sq. ft. shop next to the house, that is where the business will be?

You are assuming correctly. That was the whole point to our search.

Damn
We have been looking for over 4 months now, and Franklin almost gave up last night, but didn't when I got pissed off at him. This was the last house on the list, we have been wanting to look at for a couple of days now, however it was an appointment only thing. We both feel like a weight has been lifted.
-
Hope it all works out in your favor! Like James said, thats a big $$$ home up here
-
great score on the house and best of luck sealing the deal and with the move.
-
Nice looking house guys. But where the hell is Graham?
-
Nice looking place just below but not to far from downtown Seattle .Still a good distance ,you should be happy :) Will have to stop by when down for a show next I was hoping you would come as far as Salmon arm B.C.    But seriously its a great feeling when things fall into place best of luck on the move ,and have a happy New year . :)
-
Down here in Portland that would go for about $750,000 also. Killer deal for sure. Hope it all works out Marsha.
-
We are hoping that it works out as well. We are still waiting to here back on whether or not the owner has accepted the offer. We have been on pins and needles all day.
-
We got it. :D The closing date is the 31st of January.
-
congrats!
