You can always remodel part of your house. Doesn't have to be structural, just paint some trim, carpet or hardwood. Then you can BOTH enjoy it! B)

Im kinda in the same boat till i read the Canadian Tire catalogue. There is a handsome 5 piece silicone gift set containing a oven mitt, 12' tongs, spatula, pot holder, and basting brush for $24.99. What a deal! Wouldnt want their hands to get burned while they are cooking you your dinner. If that is still not enough , Kim still runs the lingerie store where you could get a niece housecoat ;) . Just a thought.

A night or two in Whistler - time to get away from you and the kids to recharge the batteries. Spend some time reading in front of the fire and relaxing.
-
you could get her another car....
-
she's a woman so she will be needing shoes, if she says she has enough already she is simply misguided and getting her more shoes will remind her how much she really wanted more shoes in the first place and you look like a winner.......
if that fails buy her more shoes

How did that work for you?

No. 1 rule of buying christmas presents for your wife/girlfriend: do not buy housewares or kitchen appliances.
james is on the right track with whistler. to bump up the wow factor a little, i suggest the following:
* a gift certificate for a nice restaurant in Whistler. IOUs are nice, but often not redeemed.
* a fab dress for said dinner that will make her look/feel like a million bucks. worried about sizes? steal a fitted shirt and pair of shorts from her closet, take it to the store and ask the ladies behind the counter for help. a dress with a shorter hemline (ie. around the knee vs. ankle-length) is a safer bet, given how tall she is. go with a bold colour you know she looks good in: reds/greens/etc. (that way, if you're wearing black, she'll totally stand out, in a good way)
* book a time for her to get a massage/facial or nails done, something fun and girly, in whistler before you two go out.
* a housecoat and matching slippers that's super soft and fuzzy, to be used after dessert. ;)
the best gifts don't necessarily require a lot of cash, just a bit of planning.
