Would this be a good VW for a first time bug owner? Any more info on the '58?

THis would be a great project for a first time bug owner... No better way to learn about the car by putting it together

from the looks of things on the link, rooodie has got a good start and has done a great job repairing the typical rust areas on a vw beetle.

there looks like there is still alot to be done, but as pointblank said above, this would be the best way to learn about the car, buy fixing it and replacing old/broken parts and making it go again. somewhat daunting at times, but incredibly satisfying when it "happens".

i'm going through the same learning process with my pan of resto 56.

i'd suggest getting in touch with rooodie, going to see the car and talking about it all.

just my $.02

mmmm pan of resto....

Yeah if anyone wants to come out and look over it let me know.

This isn't a car your gonna be driving next week, but it has had most of the major work done.
