I'm looking for a metal shop that can put a bend and plasma cut a large hole in a sheet of 14 Gauge. Prefer Abbotsford or Langley area, anvbody know of one??

Try Tinman in Langley. On 56ave across the street from Samz pub. I have had metal countertops built by them and have seen some roll pans they have built for S-10 Blazers recently. Reasonable prices and decent quality.
Good luck.

If that doesn't work out, there is my old work, Acrodyne fab. in Newton . They don't plasma cut but can CNC punch anything (almost) and they can definitely bend . 596-9711
If that doesn't work, try Overlanders in Abby (ph 856-6815) , they do plasma cutting etc.
Keep in mind that these are precision sheet metal shops using all CNC equipment which may = $$$$$ Not sure if this is really what your looking for but it's worth a look though.

There's a shop in Cloverdale ( I think it's called Cloverdale sheet metal) about 1 block south of Mc'ds (by Artex and Turkeys). The guys name is Larry and if you show up on friday afternoon with a handfull of cold Canadians in cans and he's in a good mood he might sit down in front of the computer and have the cnc plasma machine spit out what you want, the more beers and classic car talk the cheaper it gets. A word of caution though, he is partial to US muscle cars, particularly GM, doesn't hate VW's, just likes the heavy stuff more.

Simply this ....an ellectric arc heats up the metal and air pressure blows it out of the way.Similar to an oxy / acet. torch when your cutting with it. Mind you there is a million times less heat involved. Very nice piece of equipment if you have ever used one you will wonder how you ever got by with out it. the gun is about the same size and set up as a mig welder.the heat is almost nil. and you can cut sheet metal( no warpage) and 1/2 in. plate.
Theres more to it but you asked ;) .....cheers Bill
;) There are no stupid questions....if you wish to know!
