I am wondering if the case I have here is suitable (assuming internally it's OK) for building my 2332 (84 x 94) that I plan to put in my type 3 wagon when she migrates back from the north in the springtime.
It's an AS41 dual relief \"E\" case from a late-model FI'd type 3 from what I can tell (side dip-stick and rear engine-mount provisions)
It has 10mm head studs and no case-savers.
I've heard that it can be tricky to bore a 10mm-stud case for 94's but don't know for sure.
This engine is going to be built for everyday street use not for 8000 rpm trips down the quarter-mile - though I'm sure I will make a pass or two for \"shits 'n giggles\".
Thanks in advance!

or google it.

"E" case?
nope... aparently not. I just had a look at it in the light and saw that it was actually a single relief case and stopped looking any further :(
oh well... time to track down another case.

geeziz... It's been too long since I looked at one of these things
It's an AS41 dual relief type 3 FI case. As for the E - that's the last number stamped on what I believe is the VW part number but maybe (just maybe :D ) I'm wrong.
And thanks for the links Emilio
