well i decided to rebiuld my calipers, who has done this , need to know how to get the pistons out, ? two part caliper
-
well that will depend on the caliper. If it's a Beetle/Ghia front caliper you can use compressed air. Before spliting the caliper put your air nozzel into the hole where the line threads in, give a quick burst of air and they will push out and touch each other. If it's apart you can do the same thing but you will need to block the two holes that feed the other caliper half. Beware!!!! if it's apart the piston can shoot out like a bullet! I have dents in the roof and broken light bulbs to prove it.

so i have to get a threaded end for my air hose to the caliper

usually just a rubber nozzle will do
